Josh is an entrepreneur, managing and operating various businesses since age 25.  He started Annuity Experts in 2002 with the idea that people needed more education and service on annuity products, and at that point, there was very little information available on the Internet.

In particular, there was very little unbiased information.

Josh is the author of "10 Tips for Purchasing an Annuity" (a free online ebook) which has been downloaded by over 20,000 people over the last 7 years.  Additionally, Josh has published annuity research in Broker World magazine as well as the Retirement Counseling Newsletter for the Society of Financial Service Professionals.  He is currently working on a new project regarding the value of immediate annuities due to increased life expectancies.

The sale of a portion of property put me in a quandary as to where or what to do with the funds. So I looked at various investment vehicles, annuities being one of them. During a web search I came upon a posting titled "10 Tips for Purchasing an Annuity". The article was my first introduction to Josh Elliott. The "10 Tips" (highly recommended by this investor) was informative and enabled an annuity purchaser or owner to better understand the many differences and what questions to ask a financial advisor.

A few days later I sought out the author, Josh Elliott, and ended up speaking to him several times. I was impressed with his down to earth personality and the interest he has for others and not in just the realm of finances. Interested but cautious (I do not hand over thousands everyday) I "Googled' Josh and as a result was able to speak with people who personally know Josh and his family.
